Famous quotes containing the words judges and/or judgement:
“The laws of Caesar are one thing, those of Christ, another. Papinianus judges one way, our Paul another.”
—Jerome (c. 340420)
“Thyself thou gavst, thy own worth then not knowing,
Or me, to whom thou gavst it, else mistaking;
So thy great gift, upon misprision growing,
Comes home again, on better judgement making.
Thus have I had thee, as a dream doth flatter,
In sleep a king, but, waking, no such matter.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
