Las Vegas Controversy
In June 2008, AAPI hosted a conference in Las Vegas. Upon a later audit, it was found that acting president Hemant Patel had offered comps to his family of 12. Upon further investigation, the issue was "conveniently" laid to rest by the executive committee and Patel's service was honored.
