The American Angus Association records more cattle each year than any other beef breed association, making it the largest beef breed registry association in the world. In fiscal year ending September 30, 2010, it registered 297,087 head for 2009-10.

Famous quotes containing the words american and/or association:

Much of our American progress has been the product of the individual who had an idea; pursued it; fashioned it; tenaciously clung to it against all odds; and then produced it, sold it, and profited from it.
    Hubert H. Humphrey (1911–1978)

In this great association we know no North, no South, no East, no West. This has been our pride for all these years. We have no political party. We never have inquired what anybody’s religion is. All we ever have asked is simply, “Do you believe in perfect equality for women?” This is the one article in our creed.
    Susan B. Anthony (1820–1906)
