America (Judge Dredd Story) - Collected Editions

Collected Editions

There are now three parts to the America story, all written by John Wagner with art by Colin MacNeil.

  • "America" (in Judge Dredd Megazine #1.01-1.07, 1990)
  • "America II: Fading of the Light" (in Judge Dredd Megazine #3.20-3.25, 1996)
  • "Cadet" (in Judge Dredd Megazine #250-252, 2006)

They have all been collected in a single volume:

  • America (Rebellion Developments, 2008, ISBN 978-1-905437-58-0)

The first story was also collected in Classic 2000 AD #1 (1995) and two other trade paperbacks: America (Fleetway, 1991, ISBN 1-85386-250-9) and The Complete America (Titan, 2003, ISBN 1-84023-615-9), which also included the second story.

America has not been reprinted in the series Judge Dredd: The Complete Case Files.

Famous quotes containing the words collected and/or editions:

The knowledge of an unlearned man is living and luxuriant like a forest, but covered with mosses and lichens and for the most part inaccessible and going to waste; the knowledge of the man of science is like timber collected in yards for public works, which still supports a green sprout here and there, but even this is liable to dry rot.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

The next Augustan age will dawn on the other side of the Atlantic. There will, perhaps, be a Thucydides at Boston, a Xenophon at New York, and, in time, a Virgil at Mexico, and a Newton at Peru. At last, some curious traveller from Lima will visit England and give a description of the ruins of St. Paul’s, like the editions of Balbec and Palmyra.
    Horace Walpole (1717–1797)
