Facilities
The station consists of an island platform, with a small steel shelter for waiting passengers at the Flinders Street end. After the myki ticketing system was commissioned, a large myki top-up machine was put where the old Metcard ticket vending machine used to be. The large Metcard vending machine was removed, as was a Telstra payphone.
The western standard gauge line runs to the west of the station, and is used by interstate freight trains, and The Overland passenger service from Melbourne to Adelaide.
