History
Zoran was founded in 1983 by Dr. Levy Gerzberg, with focus on DSP technology. In 1997 Zoran acquired CompCore Multimedia and named George T. Haber Executive VP and to its Board of Directors. Haber started GigaPixel, Mobilygen and now is currently the CEO of CrestaTech.
In 2003, Zoran purchased Oak Technology, thereby expanding the product portfolio with chips for use in inkjet printers, laser printers, printer/scanner combination devices, and industrial imaging equipment.
