Academics
York Chester Middle School is a magnet school for the International Baccalaureate Program. The current IB coordinator for the school is Melissa Fonseca. York Chester received accreditation as an IB World School in 2005. Students who are a part of this program are engaged from grades six through eight. The IB program feeds through to Hunter Huss High School for grades nine through twelve.
