The Yorba Linda Spotlight Theater Company is a nonprofit theater organization for children and teenagers. The organization, based in Yorba Linda, California, provides education and performance opportunities to the youth of Orange County. The Yorba Linda Spotlight Theater produces full-scale musical productions, with professional technical elements, and performers all under the age of 19. The Yorba Linda Spotlight Theater also works in conjunction with Encore Academy of Performing Arts, also located in Orange County, California. Year-round after-school classes are offered in the Performing Arts to those interested in pursuing the arts, or for cultural enrichment. The Yorba Linda Spotlight Theater also leads a group of local teenagers in year-round activities and community service projects and performances. The Yorba Linda Spotlight Theater employs staff members who specialize in various performing arts aspects. Members of the Advisory Board are: Andrea Tibbs-Fouts, Artistic Direction; Elise Jackson, Financial Direction and Costume Design; Derick Fouts, Technical Direction; Sarah Weinzetl, Music Education; and Melissa Staab, Choreography. The Spotlight Advisory Board works with young members of the theater who desire to learn the craft of technical theater.
