Famous quotes containing the words elvis, morning and/or show:

Commercial to the core, Elvis was the kind of singer dear to the heart of the music business. For him to sing a song was to sell a song. His G clef was a dollar sign.
    Albert Goldman (b. 1927)

I had a long day’s work, starting at eight in the morning and ending after nine at night, but in those days [we] ... did not think of our day in terms of hours. We liked our work, we were proud to do it well, and I am afraid that we were very, very happy.
    Louie Mayer (b. c. 1914)

You must come down with me after the show to the lumber yard and ride piggy-back on the buzz saws.
W.C. Fields, U.S. screenwriter, George Marshall, and Eddie Cline. Larsen E. Whipsnade (W.C. Fields)
