WTWO - Programming

Programming

Syndicated programming featured on WTWO includes Jeopardy!, Rachael Ray, Dr. Phil, The People's Court, The Insider and Wheel of Fortune. WTWO does not currently broadcast its locally-produced newscasts or syndicated programming in high definition.

Outside of newscasts, current local programming includes Good Day Live!, a lifestyle program geared toward women. The program originated as "The Valley Showcase", appearing first as a Friday-only broadcast at 11am. On December 10, 2007, the Valley Showcase expanded to five days a week at 11am, including local news and weather. This marked a return to 'midday' news on WTWO for the first time since 2002. In 2009, the program reverted to airing on Fridays only with local news and weather segments being dropped. The program was revamped and renamed "Good Day Live!" on May 4th, 2012, and was hosted by former WTWO reporter Katie Shane and former WTWO meteorologist Julie Henricks. On September 10th, 2012, the program went to five days a week and moved to 4pm. Once again, local news and weather became part of the broadcast.

Famous quotes containing the word programming:

If there is a price to pay for the privilege of spending the early years of child rearing in the driver’s seat, it is our reluctance, our inability, to tolerate being demoted to the backseat. Spurred by our success in programming our children during the preschool years, we may find it difficult to forgo in later states the level of control that once afforded us so much satisfaction.
