Overview

Opened in the summer of 1999, for the 1999-2000 school year, Woodlawn Middle School is located in Long Grove, IL on Gilmer Road. Woodlawn Middle School is one of two schools, the latter being the elementary school, Country Meadows, which is attached to the middle school. It is a feeder school of Stevenson High School (Lincolnshire, Illinois) The Inner Core curriculum consists of:

  • Math
  • English
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • Spanish for 7th and 8th grade
  • Options for 6th grade (An "Introduction To Middle School Course")
  • Physical Education
  • Encore: (Art, Music, FACS (Family and Consumer Science), and Communications)

Woodlawn Middle School offers many Inner Core activities including:

The Athletics for the school in the Patriots Athletic Conference, which are four feeder schools into Stevenson High School.

The school was also the home school of Golden Apple Nominee Sandy Kern.
