The Wolves (Macedonian: Волци, transliterated Volci) are a special forces branch of the military of the Republic of Macedonia. The Wolves were the primary military force which engaged Albanian militias in the 2001 insurgency in the Republic of Macedonia. The "Wolves" also contributed to coalition forces serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom beginning in 2003 and continued off and on through 2008.
