Williams FW29 - Season Review

Season Review

The Williams FW29 is definitely an improvement compared to the disastrous Williams FW28 which only scored 11 points and being too unreliable. The car proved much more reliable and a constant challenger to score points. Alexander Wurz had a mixed season, achieving an unlikely podium finish, 3rd place of the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix despite suffering a damaged rear wing caused by a collision with Tonio Liuzzi but had an unsuccessful second half of the season. However, Rosberg proved to be a faster driver. He frequently scored points and outpaced Wurz particularly in the 2nd half of the season. Wurz decided to retire from F1 right before the final race of the season. Test driver Kazuki Nakajima is drafted in for his replacement but could only finish 10th. They were classfied as 4th place with 33 points, due to Mclaren's expulsion from the Championship.

Famous quotes containing the words season and/or review:

At this season I seldom had a visitor. When the snow lay deepest no wanderer ventured near my house for a week or fortnight at a time, but there I lived as snug as a meadow mouse.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

I review novels to make money, because it is easier for a sluggard to write an article a fortnight than a book a year, because the writer is soothed by the opiate of action, the crank by posing as a good journalist, and having an airhole. I dislike it. I do it and I am always resolving to give it up.
    Cyril Connolly (1903–1974)
