"Whine Up" is a song by Dominican American pop/R&B singer Kat DeLuna, released as her debut single from her album 9 Lives. The song features Elephant Man. It was believed that Ivy Queen was featured, but Kat herself provided the rap, rapping at a lower register. The song earned DeLuna a Billboard Latin Music Award for "Latin Dance Club Play Track Of The Year." The title comes from the Caribbean English (West Indian) pronunciation of Wind up meaning to move one's hips on the dance floor.

Famous quotes containing the word whine:
“When we start deceiving ourselves into thinking not that we want something or need something, not that it is a pragmatic necessity for us to have it, but that it is a moral imperative that we have it, then is when we join the fashionable madmen, and then is when the thin whine of hysteria is heard in the land, and then is when we are in bad trouble.”
—Joan Didion (b. 1934)
