International Career

Samuel has played 56 matches for Argentina, scoring five goals. He played for his country in the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Korea/Japan, but after a series of injuries that affected his play he lost his place. Years later, due to the solid performances and becoming a regular starter in Internazionale, he earned his place back in the Argentina National Team, with Diego Maradona choosing him to be a starter also for the Argentine defence in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Famous quotes containing the word career:

Each of the professions means a prejudice. The necessity for a career forces every one to take sides. We live in the age of the overworked, and the under-educated; the age in which people are so industrious that they become absolutely stupid.
    Oscar Wilde (1854–1900)
