Vermont Voltage - History

History

During its first season, in 1997, the team was known as the Vermont Wanderers. The Voltage spent the 2009 season on hiatus from the PDL while their home stadium, Collins-Perley Sports Complex, underwent major renovations. Voltage announced their returned to competition on November 11, 2009.

The club also had a sister organization, Vermont Lady Voltage, who played in the USL W-League. Due to the stadium renovations there was no women's team fielded in 2009, but expectations are they will also return in 2010.

In the history of the refused in the arts and literature the rapidity of the change is always startling.
    Gertrude Stein (1874–1946)

Anything in history or nature that can be described as changing steadily can be seen as heading toward catastrophe.
