These included new schools for special education, distance learning and technological institutes, giving the state one of the highest number of school campuses in the country. Famous quotes containing the word education:

If the education and studies of children were suited to their inclinations and capacities, many would be made useful members of society that otherwise would make no figure in it.
    Samuel Richardson (1689–1761)

Give a girl an education and introduce her properly into the world, and ten to one but she has the means of settling well, without further expense to anybody.
    Jane Austen (1775–1817)

Casting an eye on the education of children, from whence I can make a judgment of my own, I observe they are instructed in religious matters before they can reason about them, and consequently that all such instruction is nothing else but filling the tender mind of a child with prejudices.
    George Berkeley (1685–1753)
