Famous quotes containing the words men, national, soccer and/or cups:
“I do not find fault with equality for drawing men into the pursuit of forbidden pleasures, but for absorbing them entirely in the search for the pleasures that are permitted.”
—Alexis de Tocqueville (18051859)
“It is not unkind to say, from the standpoint of scenery alone, that if many, and indeed most, of our American national parks were to be set down on the continent of Europe thousands of Americans would journey all the way across the ocean in order to see their beauties.”
—Franklin D. Roosevelt (18821945)

Learn compassion if we are indifferent? Perceive academics as important if soccer practice is a higher priority than homework?”

“Call the roller of big cigars,
The muscular one, and bid him whip
In kitchen cups concupiscent curds.”
—Wallace Stevens (18791955)
