USJ has grown rapidly in recent years, but has caused a massive traffic congestion. There is an upcoming major RM3.6 billion project in USJ 25, namely One City which comprises shopping malls, clubs, pubs, office towers, hotels, serviced apartments and retail lots. It is scheduled to be fully developed by 2015. Also, there is another major RM1 billion project along Persiaran Kewajipan, namely Da Men USJ (大門) by PAVILION developer which is a mixed development expected to be completed by 2014. Upon completion, it would comprise a shopping mall, retail lots and serviced apartments.

In addition, there is a new mixed commercial development called Empire Remix located in USJ 1 off the Kesas Highway which comprises a shopping mall, office buildings and studio apartments. In the fourth quarter of 2012, Tropicana has launched an 88 acre mixed commercial development comprising serviced apartments, retail lots, office buildings, a central park, a medical centre, an education centre and a retail mall known as Tropicana Metropark located off the Federal Highway and nearby upscale neighborhoods such as USJ Heights and Subang Heights.

Famous quotes containing the word development:

On fields all drenched with blood he made his record in war, abstained from lawless violence when left on the plantation, and received his freedom in peace with moderation. But he holds in this Republic the position of an alien race among a people impatient of a rival. And in the eyes of some it seems that no valor redeems him, no social advancement nor individual development wipes off the ban which clings to him.
    Frances Ellen Watkins Harper (1825–1911)

Theories of child development and guidelines for parents are not cast in stone. They are constantly changing and adapting to new information and new pressures. There is no “right” way, just as there are no magic incantations that will always painlessly resolve a child’s problems.
    Lawrence Kutner (20th century)

Dissonance between family and school, therefore, is not only inevitable in a changing society; it also helps to make children more malleable and responsive to a changing world. By the same token, one could say that absolute homogeneity between family and school would reflect a static, authoritarian society and discourage creative, adaptive development in children.
    Sara Lawrence Lightfoot (20th century)
