History
Twiggs Academy was established in 1970 by a group of Twiggs County parents who believed that the Middle Georgia area needed an independent college preparatory school.
Today Twiggs Academy is a nondenominational Christian School. Twiggs Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its education policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
A large gymnasium, a modern media center and science lab, a library, baseball, softball, and football fields, and a cafeteria are located on the Twiggs Academy Campus.
