Famous quotes containing the words tropical, storm and/or nancy:

    We’re having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave.

    And true, they are hurling spittle, rock,
    Garbage and fruit in Little Rock.
    And I saw coiling storm a-writhe
    On bright madonnas. And a scythe
    Of men harassing brownish girls.
    Gwendolyn Brooks (b. 1917)

    Miss Nancy Ellicott smoked
    And danced all the modern dances;
    And her aunts were not quite sure how they felt about it,
    But they knew that it was modern.
