Family Members
The TRIM family is split into two groups that differ in domain structure and genomic organization:
- Group 1 members possess a variety of C-terminal domains, and are represented in both vertebrate and invertebrates
- Group 2 is absent in invertebrates, possess a C-terminal SPRY domain
Members of the family include:
- Group 1
- PHD-BROMO domain containing: TRIM24 (TIF1α), TRIM28 (TIF1β), TRIM33 (TIF1γ)– act as corepressors

Famous quotes containing the words family and/or members:
“Every family should extend First Amendment rights to all its members, but this freedom is particularly essential for our kids. Children must be able to say what they think, openly express their feelings, and ask for what they want and need if they are ever able to develop an integrated sense of self. They must be able to think their own thoughts, even if they differ from ours. They need to have the opportunity to ask us questions when they dont understand what we mean.”
—Stephanie Martson (20th century)
“I believe that the members of my family must be as free from suspicion as from actual crime.”
—Julius Caesar [Gaius Julius Caesar] (10044 B.C.)
