Trans Adriatic Pipeline - Supply Sources

Supply Sources

The pipeline would be supplied by natural gas from the Caspian region through the existing and planned gas transportation networks in Turkey. As such TAP can seamlessly connect with the Trans Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP). The source of supply for an initial capacity of 10 billion cubic metres (350 billion cubic feet) per year will come from the second stage of development of the Shah Deniz natural gas field in Azerbaijan. The Deniz consortium is holding sales negotiations with potential buyers of gas and expects to conclude talks with interested companies and countries by 2013. Following the exclusion of the ITGI and SEEP pipelines from the competition to open the Southern Gas Corridor, in February 2012 and June 2012 respectively, TAP is one of the two remaining projects competing for bringing natural gas supplies to Europe.

Famous quotes containing the words supply and/or sources:

With girls, everything looks great on the surface. But beware of drawers that won’t open. They contain a three-month supply of dirty underwear, unwashed hose, and rubber bands with blobs of hair in them.
    Erma Bombeck (20th century)

No drug, not even alcohol, causes the fundamental ills of society. If we’re looking for the sources of our troubles, we shouldn’t test people for drugs, we should test them for stupidity, ignorance, greed and love of power.
