This a version received a complete redesign, with a body style change from a 4-door hardtop to a sedan, and was influenced by the success of the Lexus LS in its appearance. The conservative appearance continues, including vertical tail lights. The Crown Majesta continues as a limousine rental and official company car for senior level management. Two-tone paint treatment is introduced.

DVD based GPS navigation was introduced as well as a foot rest for the rear seat passenger opposite from the driver. This was achieved by enabling part of the seat cushion of the front passenger seat back to tilt rearward towards the rear seat passenger.

The vertical tail lamps were made wider.

The 4000cc engine model type 1UZ-FE DOHC V-8-cylinder engine remains rated at a claimed 280 horsepower, due to an agreement between Japanese auto manufacturers. The trend towards large diameter wheels with low profile tires was ignored in favor of a good ride and better handling outside flat race tracks.

The Crown electric vision navi-computer of the traditional CD and DVD format was changed. The latter type are also special features such as the Ottoman mechanism is designed to ensure the best possible ride in the rear seat than the driver and passenger seat.

Famous quotes containing the words generation and/or series:

Against my will, I became a witness to the most terrible defeat of reason and to the most savage triumph of brutality ever chronicled ... never before did a generation suffer such a moral setback after it had attained such intellectual heights.
    Stefan Zweig (18811942)

I thought I never wanted to be a father. A child seemed to be a series of limitations and responsibilities that offered no reward. But when I experienced the perfection of fatherhood, the rest of the world remade itself before my eyes.
    Kent Nerburn (20th century)
