Coaching Style
Toni trained Rafael on poor courts with bad tennis balls, just to teach Rafael that winning or losing is not about the quality of courts, strings, lights or balls but that it is about attitude, discipline and perspective. Toni is said to be extremely modest, level-headed, down-to-earth and tries to instill these values and qualities to Rafael. His philosophy is that you can only achieve something with hard work and that there is always room for improvement. Nadal tries to develop character in Rafael because he knows that it could have a profound impact on results and motivation.

Famous quotes containing the word style:
“I concluded that I was skilled, however poorly, at only one thing: marriage. And so I set about the business of selling myself and two children to some unsuspecting man who might think me a desirable second-hand mate, a man of good means and disposition willing to support another mans children in some semblance of the style to which they were accustomed. My heart was not in the chase, but I was tired and there was no alternative. I could not afford freedom.”
—Barbara Howar (b. 1934)
