Tirukoilur is a pilgrimage town in Viluppuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. As the name says "koil" (means temple in Tamil language) it is famous for the temples. The veerataneshwara temple at East Thirukoilur and Ulagalantha_Perumal_Temple, at west Tirukoyilur is located in this town.
