Tier 1 Asset Management is a Manchester-based company involved in the secure and ethical disposal of end—lifecycle computer equipment. It offers IT recycling, secure data erasure/disposal and asset management remarketing for corporate and government organisations.
The company collects redundant IT products & undertakes permanent data wiping and recovery to regenerate the equipment. The equipment is then offered for either resale in the second hand market or donated to charity partners such as Digital Links International.
In June 2008, Tier 1 helped the crew of Earthrace, an eco boat circumnavigating the world, by supplying a refurbished laptop.
