Tie My Rope

"Tie My Rope" is a 2007 song from the Finnish melodic death metal band Children of Bodom. The song is from Children of Bodom's sixth studio album, Blooddrunk. The song was also included on Viva La Bands, Vol. 2, a compilation album from the program Viva La Bam and the tracks on the album were selected by star Bam Margera.

Musically, "Tie My Rope" bears a resemblance to songs from Children of Bodom's album Are You Dead Yet?, and was a product of the band's exploration of their 1980s metal influences. In contrast to all of their past material, the keyboards have a much darker sound that blend in with the overall song. In addition, the overall usage of keyboards in the songs seem to be much more present than songs in Are You Dead Yet?.

The song was re-recorded for the actual album.

Famous quotes containing the words tie and/or rope:

Not because Socrates has said it, but because it is really in my nature, and perhaps a little more than it should be, I look upon all humans as my fellow-citizens, and would embrace a Pole as I would a Frenchman, subordinating this national tie to the common and universal one.
    Michel de Montaigne (1533–1592)

They have gone about the world like wind,
But little time had they to pray
For whom the hangman’s rope was spun,
And what, God help us, could they save?
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)
