Overview
TiE was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region. There are currently more than 11,000 members and over 2,500 charter members in 56 chapters across 13 countries. TiE’s mission is to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, and education. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community, TiE’s focus is on generating and nurturing our next generation of entrepreneurs. There are currently more than 15,000 members and over 2,500 charter members in 61 chapters across 17 countries,to make TiE the largest global non-profit for entrepreneurship development.
TiE Chennai is an active chapter with 120 Charter Members and over 400 Associate Members. The chapter is focused on inspiring, educating and mentoring entrepreneurs in Chennai and Tamil Nadu. TiE Chennai holds regular events on its own, as well as through partnerships, where Charter Members, Entrepreneurs, Business Leaders, SMEs, VCs, Govt.bodies come together and deliver programs on success stories, business opportunities, building enterprises, raising capital, networking,etc. TiE Chennai is a not-for-profit organization registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 1975.
