The Wonder Book of Bible Stories

The Wonder Book of Bible Stories is a 1904 children's literature by Logan Marshall printed in the United States. The book popularised biblical stories from both the Old and New Testaments for children by illustrating them with rich woodcuts and color plates. Though popular in its day, it has not been in print since 1925.

Famous quotes containing the words book and/or stories:

One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to the place where he arose.
    —Bible: Hebrew Ecclesiastes 1:4,5.

Ernest Hemingway’s book title The Sun Also Rises (1926)

Every one of my friends had a bad day somewhere in her history she wished she could forget but couldn’t. A very bad mother day changes you forever. Those were the hardest stories to tell. . . . “I could still see the red imprint of his little bum when I changed his diaper that night. I stared at my hand, as if they were alien parts of myself . . . as if they had betrayed me. From that day on, I never hit him again.”
    Mary Kay Blakely (20th century)
