The United Film Festivals

The United Film Festivals are a series of film festivals created by Jason Connell. The festival's focus is to bring together talented filmmakers from diverse backgrounds, thus creating a "United" showcase of creative energy and talent. It is a film festival for people from all backgrounds and tastes, a place where art and community converge.

A Tulsa native filmmaker, Jason Connell and his production company Connell Creations founded Tulsa United Film Festival in 2002. Now living in Hollywood, Connell has expanded the United Film Festivals into Los Angeles & New York in 2007 and has added festivals in San Francisco, Chicago & London in 2009.

Famous quotes containing the words united, film and/or festivals:

Madam, I may be President of the United States, but my private life is nobody’s damn business.
    Chester A. Arthur (1829–1886)

The woman’s world ... is shown as a series of limited spaces, with the woman struggling to get free of them. The struggle is what the film is about; what is struggled against is the limited space itself. Consequently, to make its point, the film has to deny itself and suggest it was the struggle that was wrong, not the space.
    Jeanine Basinger (b. 1936)

Why wont they let a year die without bringing in a new one on the instant, cant they use birth control on time? I want an interregnum. The stupid years patter on with unrelenting feet, never stopping—rising to little monotonous peaks in our imaginations at festivals like New Year’s and Easter and Christmas—But, goodness, why need they do it?
    John Dos Passos (1896–1970)
