The Trout Inn (often simply referred to as The Trout) is a well-known historic public house in Lower Wolvercote north of Oxford, close to Godstow Bridge. It is directly on the River Thames and is especially popular on sunny days in the summer months when it is possible to imbibe outside by the river.
The Trout Inn is a Grade II Listed Building, being principally a 17th Century construction, with some 18th Century alterations additions. The Godstow Bridge, to the South of the Trout Inn, consisting of two stone arches across the Thames, the North arch dating from medieval times, and the South rebuilt in 1892, is also a Grade II Listed Building, as is the wooden footbridge at the Trout Inn.
