The Morning Rumble is the morning show on New Zealand rock music radio station, The Rock. It is aired on weekday mornings from 6:00am until 10:00am.
The show is known to be somewhat controversial, and is dominated by ongoing informal banter between the hosts interspersed with commentary on local social and political issues (though these are rarely presented in a serious manner) and a variety of rock music, both classic and new. Over the years, the show has been the subject of a number of complaints upheld by the Broadcasting Standards Authority. They have also been in trouble after erecting several advertising billboards around Auckland that were deemed to be offensive.

Famous quotes containing the words morning and/or rumble:
“The variables are surprisingly few.... One can whip or be whipped; one can eat excrement or quaff urine; mouth and private part can be meet in this or that commerce. After which there is the gray of morning and the sour knowledge that things have remained fairly generally the same since man first met goat and woman.”
—George Steiner (b. 1929)
“I could take the Harlem night
and wrap around you,
Take the neon lights and make a crown,
Take the Lenox Avenue buses,
Taxis, subways,
And for your love song tone their rumble down.”
—Langston Hughes (19021967)
