The Monmouth Journal - Distribution

Distribution

The Monmouth Journal is a free weekly newspaper that is distributed at 185 locations in the "Two River" area of northern Monmouth County. The Two River area encompasses those towns that border, or are near, the Shrewsbury River and Navesink River.

The area is considered affluent, with Rumson, Monmouth Beach,Fair Haven and Little Silver among the wealthy towns of the region.

The Monmouth Journal does not pretend to cover 20 or 25 towns, like many weekly newspapers in the region do. Instead, it concentrates solely on the nine towns it serves, blanketing those towns with the paper every Friday, and offering its advertisers the best exposure available for a weekly publication in the area.

Recently, The Monmouth Journal has surpassed it rival, The Two River Times, in advertising inches every week, despite the fact that the Two River Times has been publishing for just under 20 years, while The Monmouth Journal is only under 5 years old.

Famous quotes containing the word distribution:

Classical and romantic: private language of a family quarrel, a dead dispute over the distribution of emphasis between man and nature.
    Cyril Connolly (1903–1974)

My topic for Army reunions ... this summer: How to prepare for war in time of peace. Not by fortifications, by navies, or by standing armies. But by policies which will add to the happiness and the comfort of all our people and which will tend to the distribution of intelligence [and] wealth equally among all. Our strength is a contented and intelligent community.
    Rutherford Birchard Hayes (1822–1893)

In this distribution of functions, the scholar is the delegated intellect. In the right state, he is, Man Thinking. In the degenerate state, when the victim of society, he tends to become a mere thinker, or, still worse, the parrot of other men’s thinking.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
