The Garden Conservancy

The Garden Conservancy is an American nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving exceptional gardens and landscapes.

Founded in 1989 by Frank Cabot, the Conservancy has since helped a number of American gardens to develop preservation strategies, organizational structures, and funding plans. Adezio and the director of preservation is William Noble of Norwich, Vermont. Recent projects include:

Famous quotes containing the word garden:

The male has been persuaded to assume a certain onerous and disagreeable rôle with the promise of rewards—material and psychological. Women may in the first place even have put it into his head. BE A MAN! may have been, metaphorically, what Eve uttered at the critical moment in the Garden of Eden.
    Wyndham Lewis (1882–1957)
