The Cheetah Girls (soundtrack)

The Cheetah Girls is the original motion picture soundtrack to the 2003 Disney Channel Original Movie, The Cheetah Girls. It was released on August 12, 2003 on compact disc and audio cassette by Walt Disney Records and it was recorded by The Cheetah Girls, Sonic Chaos, Char, Hope 7, and Christi Mac. It was later released as a special edition album with a few karaoke instrumentals and remixes of songs that are on the original version. Common Sense Media's review of the album complimented The Cheetah Girls' singing, but called the production "prefabricated" and generally disapproved of the musical presentation.

The album went to #33 on the Billboard 200 in the US and was certified Double Platinum, selling more than 2 million copies in the US alone. It is one of the biggest selling albums from Walt Disney Records ever, along with the High School Musical soundtrack.

Famous quotes containing the word girls:

I have often been downcast, but never in despair; I regard our hiding as a dangerous adventure, romantic and interesting at the same time. In my diary I treat all the privations as amusing. I have made up my mind now to lead a different life from other girls and, later on, different from ordinary housewives. My start has been so very full of interest, and that is the sole reason why I have to laugh at the humorous side of the most dangerous moments.
    Anne Frank (1929–1945)
