The Anna Nicole Show - Popularity, Cancellation, and Aftermath

Popularity, Cancellation, and Aftermath

Although it has became a cult classic, mainly among college students, The Anna Nicole Show was never a solid ratings success. Though ratings premiered in the top forty, the shows ratings dropped continuously, week by week; ending its run nearly out of the top seventy. This continuous rating decline, caused E! to cancel the series in February 2004, after just two seasons and 27 episodes.

Though most cites have said the show was cancelled due to "creative differences", it is without a doubt of no suspiciousness that the series was cancelled due to a severe rating decline. Afterward Anna Nicole appeared as a spokesperson for Trimspa, (in order to publicize her weight loss), and made three other film appearances (two of which were bit roles as herself), before her death.
