  • A red team placement indicates that the team was eliminated.
  • An underlined blue team's placement indicates that the team came in last on a non-elimination leg of the race and was "Marked for Elimination"; if the team did not finish 1st on the next leg, they would receive a 30-minute penalty.
  • A green ƒ indicates that the team won a Fast Forward clue.
  • Matching colored symbols (pink +, brown ^, and magenta ~) indicate teams who worked together during part of the leg as a result of an Intersection.
  • A yellow > means that team chose to use the Yield; < indicates the team who received it.
  1. ^ Dustin & Kandice initially arrived 4th, but they had missed the clue to the Detour, having simply arrived by chance at one of the options (finished the detour). They were forced to backtrack and retrieve the missed clue at the end of the Detour and return to the Pit Stop. This did not affect their placement.
  2. ^ Uchenna & Joyce initially arrived 3rd, but were issued a 30-minute penalty for being "marked for elimination" and not arriving 1st. This did not affect their placement.
  3. ^ Two legs contained unaired Roadblocks. It is only known that Danielle completed the one in Leg 7. Images from CBS' official website show Mirna and Danielle completing the one in leg 13.
  4. ^ Due to an Intersection, Uchenna & Joyce and Oswald & Danny were able to work together to complete the Fast Forward, thus both teams were able to skip all remaining tasks and head directly to the Pit Stop and awarded 1st for both teams.
  5. ^ Joe & Bill initially arrived 5th, but were issued a 30-minute penalty for being "marked for elimination" and not arriving 1st. During this time, Eric & Danielle – the only team trailing Joe & Bill at that point – were able to check in shortly after Joe & Bill arrived and were eliminated before the 30 minutes elapsed.
  6. ^ Uchenna & Joyce missed a connecting flight early in Leg 9 and were not shown performing any of the tasks; they were shown proceeding from the Batu Caves Route Marker directly to the Pit Stop for elimination. Joyce confirmed in a post-race interview that she had done the newspaper recycling Roadblock prior to being eliminated. Her unaired performance is included in this tally.
  7. ^ Eric & Danielle initially arrived 2nd, but were issued a 30-minute penalty for being "marked for elimination" and not arriving 1st. With approximately 14 minutes left of their penalty time, Charla & Mirna checked in during their penalty time, dropping them to 3rd.
  8. ^ Oswald & Danny had been "marked for elimination", however, since they checked in last, they were eliminated without the 30-minute penalty.

Famous quotes containing the word results:

The study and knowledge of the universe would somehow be lame and defective were no practical results to follow.
    Marcus Tullius Cicero (106–43 B.C.)

Different persons growing up in the same language are like different bushes trimmed and trained to take the shape of identical elephants. The anatomical details of twigs and branches will fulfill the elephantine form differently from bush to bush, but the overall outward results are alike.
Willard Van Orman Quine (b. 1908)

It would be easy ... to regard the whole of world 3 as timeless, as Plato suggested of his world of Forms or Ideas.... I propose a different view—one which, I have found, is surprisingly fruitful. I regard world 3 as being essentially the product of the human mind.... More precisely, I regard the world 3 of problems, theories, and critical arguments as one of the results of the evolution of human language, and as acting back on this evolution.
    Karl Popper (1902–1994)
