Telepoll - Premise

Premise

Each week, a guest panel was invited to discuss a current event. Pre-selected viewers were also polled and their responses were tabulated and presented on the next show. Each episode cost an estimated $3500 (CAD), among the most expensive domestic CTV productions. CNCP Telecommunications was Telepoll's sponsor.

Peter Jennings, then based at CTV's Ottawa affiliate CJOH-TV, was a correspondent for the programme.

Famous quotes containing the word premise:

We have to give ourselves—men in particular—permission to really be with and get to know our children. The premise is that taking care of kids can be a pain in the ass, and it is frustrating and agonizing, but also gratifying and enjoyable. When a little kid says, “I love you, Daddy,” or cries and you comfort her or him, life becomes a richer experience.
