Religion
Almost 96-97% of the municipality's population are Roman Catholics. Every barangay (village) has its own Roman Catholic chapel aside from the parish church in the town proper. There are also adherents of the Iglesia ni Cristo, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons), Adventists (Sabadistas), Evangelicals and other Christian sects in the municipality and maintains their own churches. The municipality's patron saint is the Our Lady of the Assumption (Nuestra Señora de Asuncion).The town celebrates its fiesta annually on August 15.
