The bay was completely reclaimed for Tsing Yi Power Station and the shore line is straightened. The power station was built in 1960s and has been demolished. A smaller station Tsing Yi Gas Turbine Power Station was established instead. An Esso Oil Depot occupies part of the reclamation.
