Biography
Dr.M.Hameeduddin Sharfi was born in 1954 in Hyderabad, India to a prominent Sufi family. His first schooling was at home, where he was taught from the Qur'an by his father, though this was soon supplanted by instruction from other Sufi clerics, under whom he spent almost two decades studying Sufism. His formal education consisted of several years at Urdu Shareef Government High School, Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Osmania University, and a Doctorate from Gulbarga University.
