Swabi has a lot of ancient and historic places, like Yousuf Khan and Sher Bano Tomb, Sona baba Ghar (Maneri Bala), Kara Maar Ghar, Rani Gut and the remains of Alexander The Great located at Hund in Swabi.

Ghazi Barotha dam is situated in the village of Gallah. Alexander the Great crossed the River Indus 20 km downstream from this village. The ruins in the mountains upstream of Ghazi Barotha dam, the land acquired for Neelab Town, is rich in archaeological materials; the historical Imran Kala is also situated in these hills. Approximately 14,000 canals have been acquired by the Ghazi Barotha dam.
