Survivor 10: The Caribbean

Survivor 10: The Caribbean is the first season of the Israeli version of the American Reality TV show "Survivor", shot during June and July, 2007, in Los Haitises National Park, Dominican Republic. It was produced by Reyif HeMeiri production company, with an approximated budget of $5,000,000. It is broadcast on the Channel 10.

The show was criticized profusely by viewers, the media, and contestants for intervening in the game unfairly and for changing the format extensively for the production of numerous long episodes. The original U.S. series broadcasts 15 episodes per season. Each episode is 43 minutes long; the Israeli version broadcasts 40 episodes per season. Each episode is 60 minutes long or longer, and does not necessarily end with a tribal council elimination.

The Sole Survivor was Neama Kaesari, who defeated Noam Tor and Dan Mano in the final tribal council by a 5-4-0 vote. Neama received the grand prize of 645,000₪ in cash and an off-road car.

Famous quotes containing the words survivor and/or caribbean:

You’re looking, sir, at a very dull survivor of a very gaudy life. Crippled, paralyzed in both legs. Very little I can eat, and my sleep is so near waking that it’s hardly worth the name. I seem to exist largely on heat, like a newborn spider.
    William Faulkner (1897–1962)

It is a curious thing to be a woman in the Caribbean after you have been a woman in these United States.
    Zora Neale Hurston (1891–1960)
