Super Robot Wars GC

Super Robot Wars GC (スーパーロボット大戦GC, Sūpā Robotto Taisen Jīshī?) is the first and only Nintendo GameCube Super Robot Wars title. The basic premise of the game is that the plot, settings, characters, and other mechanics consist of essentially mixing and combining the like of Gundam, Mazinger, Getter Robo, Zettai Muteki Raijin-Oh, and many other mecha-based anime and manga series into one universe. The Super Robot Wars series has existed for a fairly long time, dating back to the Nintendo Game Boy, and has had many releases since then, across possibly all of the mainstream platforms since then, including the SNES, PS, PS2, GameCube, Game Boy and later iterations, among other platforms. It was ported to the Xbox 360 under the title Super Robot Wars XO (スーパーロボット大戦XO, Sūpā Robotto Taisen Ekkusu Ō?), which had an online mode called Super Robot Competition (スーパーロボット対戦, Sūpā Robotto Taisen?).

The Super Robot Wars universe features a great variety of anime series, and below is a list of such. In addition to these series, the SRW universe has had its own original mecha, concepts, and characters appear.

Famous quotes containing the words robot and/or wars:

Let’s start with the three fundamental Rules of Robotics.... We have: one, a robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. Two, a robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. And three, a robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.
    Isaac Asimov (1920–1992)

I had the idea that there were two worlds. There was a real world as I called it, a world of wars and boxing clubs and children’s homes on back streets, and this real world was a world where orphans burned orphans.... I liked the other world in which almost everyone lived. The imaginary world.
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)
