Bonus Game
The couple was given a choice of two prizes to play for: $5,000, or $5,000 and a car (early episodes gave the choice of just the cash or the car). Both players took separate paths on the archway, with one on the top level and one on the bottom level, and chose which of the two monitors to reveal. One hid a dollar sign while the other hit the bandit. The object was to reveal the required amount of dollar signs before finding a certain amount of bandits. Five dollar signs were required for the cash, while six were required for cash and the car. If the players revealed three bandits while playing for the cash or two playing for the car, the round ended and the players received $100 for each dollar sign they had uncovered.

Famous quotes containing the word game:
“The indispensable ingredient of any game worth its salt is that the children themselves play it and, if not its sole authors, share in its creation. Watching TVs ersatz battles is not the same thing at all. Children act out their emotions, they dont talk them out and they dont watch them out. Their imagination and their muscles need each other.”
—Leontine Young (20th century)
