Personal Life
Avery married Heather McMillian on November 12, 1991. They currently live in Dearborn, Michigan with their three children. On Sept. 30, 2011 Avery apparently won a car at a homecoming football game for Allen Park Cabrini High School, where his children attend. The dealership that was sponsoring the contest later claimed that he did not win.
