National Scenic Byway
A portion of the Staunton and Parkersburg Turnpike was named a National Scenic Byway in 2005. The state and local communities have developed resources to assist travelers and tourist attractions to appeal to a wide range of interests. The best news for shunpikers, in addition to many local amenities close by, there are no tolls on the turnpike these days.
