The Star Wars Incredible Cross Sections (generally known as SW:ICS) are a series of Illustrated Books that, as their name implies, provide a series of cross sections of various vehicles and ships. The Star Wars ICS show cross sections of vehicles and ships that appeared in the Star Wars films. Descriptive text is also provided, both of the vessel and related trivia. The books were published by Dorling Kindersley, creators of the Incredible Cross Sections series of books. George Lucas was so impressed with the work of DK on the original trilogy that he signed a deal for DK to produce similar books for the prequel trilogy.

Famous quotes containing the words star, wars, incredible, cross and/or sections:
“The professional celebrity, male and female, is the crowning result of the star system of a society that makes a fetish of competition. In America, this system is carried to the point where a man who can knock a small white ball into a series of holes in the ground with more efficiency than anyone else thereby gains social access to the President of the United States.”
—C. Wright Mills (19161962)
“I had the idea that there were two worlds. There was a real world as I called it, a world of wars and boxing clubs and childrens homes on back streets, and this real world was a world where orphans burned orphans.... I liked the other world in which almost everyone lived. The imaginary world.”
—Norman Mailer (b. 1923)
“These battles sound incredible to us. I think that posterity will doubt if such things ever were,if our bold ancestors who settled this land were not struggling rather with the forest shadows, and not with a copper-colored race of men. They were vapors, fever and ague of the unsettled woods. Now, only a few arrowheads are turned up by the plow. In the Pelasgic, the Etruscan, or the British story, there is nothing so shadowy and unreal.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“I know were not saints or virgins or lunatics; we know all the lust and lavatory jokes, and most of the dirty people; we can catch buses and count our change and cross the roads and talk real sentences. But our innocence goes awfully deep, and our discreditable secret is that we dont know anything at all, and our horrid inner secret is that we dont care that we dont.”
—Dylan Thomas (19141953)
“For generations, a wide range of shooting in Northern Ireland has provided all sections of the population with a pastime which ... has occupied a great deal of leisure time. Unlike many other countries, the outstanding characteristic of the sport has been that it was not confined to any one class.”
—Northern Irish Tourist Board. quoted in New Statesman (London, Aug. 29, 1969)
