Famous quotes containing the words star wars, star, wars, original and/or anthology:

It is marvelous indeed to watch on television the rings of Saturn close; and to speculate on what we may yet find at galaxy’s edge. But in the process, we have lost the human element; not to mention the high hope of those quaint days when flight would create “one world.” Instead of one world, we have “star wars,” and a future in which dumb dented human toys will drift mindlessly about the cosmos long after our small planet’s dead.
    Gore Vidal (b. 1925)

One thing about being successful is that I stopped being afraid of dying. Once you’re a star you’re dead already. You’re embalmed.
    Dustin Hoffman (b. 1937)

America is addicted to wars of distraction.
    Barbara Ehrenreich (b. 1941)

The most original authors of today are original not because they create something new but because they are capable of saying such things as if they had never been said before.
    Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (1749–1832)

For him nor deep nor hill there is,
But all’s one level plain he hunts for flowers.
